FIVE (5) 65c wedding cake stamp | Unused US Postage Stamp | Mail Wedding Invitations | Save the Dates | Bridal Showers
Face Value: 65 cents
Scott No.: 4602
You will receive five 65c wedding cake stamps as pictured.
Today it is customary for the bride and groom to cut the first piece of wedding cake, symbolizing their first task together as husband and wife. The bride and groom feed one another from the first slice, signifying their commitment to provide for each other.
Though the wedding cake has evolved from a loaf of bread to a mult-tiered work of art, it has kept its tradition of good fortune for the newlywed couple.
The U.S.P.S. has been issuing Wedding stamps since 2004. The stamps always feature images of love, romance, and wedding traditions. These include bouquets, hearts, rings, and cakes.
The wedding cake stamp was first introduced in 2009 as part of the Weddings Series. The 2012 issue is the third stamp to feature the design. The stamp was issued with a new denomination each year to meet the raising postage rates.
Use these beautiful Unused postage stamps for mailing Wedding Invitations, Save the Date, Bridal Showers and Birthday Cards. They are valid to use as postage as long as you use enough postage to meet the current postage rates.
This stamp is no longer available at your local post office.
Also good to use for scrapbooking or displaying in a small picture frame. It's a miniature work of art.
If you would like me to put a custom order together that includes this stamp please convo me with your questions or request a custom order. I have a large inventory of Vintage US Postage stamp for you to buy from.
