About this stamp:
Wildflowers spread across all parts of the America—filling woodlands, prairies, mountains, hillsides, and cities. In 1992 the Postal Service gathered 50 of the most popular varieties, put them in a bouquet, and presented them to the public.
This pack includes the Common Sunflower, a wildflower of Kansas. Widespread throughout North America, the common sunflower thrives in open, sunny areas of prairies, meadows and roadsides. A robust plant with rough, serrated, heart-shaped leaves, the sunflower's tall stalks can reach heights of more than ten feet.
