About this stamp:
The flag of the state of Iowa is a vertical tricolor flag designed by Mrs. Dixie Cornell Gebhardt in 1917. It features a vertical tricolor consisting of blue, white, red. The center stripe is twice the width of the other two and contains an eagle holding a ribbon. Iowa legislators officially adopted the flag in 1921.
